A Los Cabos all inclusive trip bundles your room, meals and drinks into one nightly rate at a resort on the southern tip of Baja California Sur. Most resorts sit in Cabo San Lucas, San José del Cabo, or the Tourist Corridor between them. You fly into Los Cabos International Airport (SJD).
Baja California Sur · desert meets seaDry scrub and bare hills run down to a turquoise bay in Baja California Sur, with mountains across the water.
Desert mountains run straight into two different seas at the bottom of the Baja peninsula. That meeting point is why Los Cabos looks like nowhere else in Mexico, and why an all inclusive stay here feels different from one on the Caribbean side.
Los Cabos is the name for the resort area at the tip of Baja California Sur. It has two towns, Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo, joined by a stretch of highway lined with resorts and golf courses called the Tourist Corridor, roughly 20 miles long. A Los Cabos all inclusive can sit in any of the three, and the one you pick shapes your whole trip: the noise level, the beach, and how long you ride from the airport.
This guide covers what all inclusive usually means here, how the three areas compare, when to go, which beaches are safe for swimming, and how to tell a good Cabo package from one that only looks cheap. Keep scrolling to gather the topics, then tap a card to jump to that part of the guide.

When to go Caribbean sideCabo vs. CancunBoth are big all inclusive destinations. The difference is the setting.
Cancun guideAt most all inclusive resorts, one rate covers your room, meals, snacks and drinks, along with pool and beach time and some daily activities. That part is the same in Cabo as anywhere else. What changes from resort to resort is the fine print.
None of this means a resort is a bad deal. It means you should compare packages by what you will actually use, not by the nightly number alone.
Searchers often type "Cabo San Lucas all inclusive" when they mean the whole region. The towns are close, but they feel different, and the resorts in each area follow suit.
| Area | The feel | The water | Good fit for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cabo San Lucas | Busy marina town with restaurants, nightlife and boat trips to the arch at Land's End | Medano Beach, inside the bay, is the main swimming beach | First-timers, groups, travelers who want to go out at night |
| Tourist Corridor | Resorts and golf courses spread along the highway between the two towns | A mix: some calm coves, some rough stretches | Couples who want space, views and quiet |
| San José del Cabo | Smaller historic downtown with galleries and a slower pace | Surf varies along the hotel zone; ask each resort | Shorter airport transfers, quieter evenings |
| Pacific side | Wide, wild beaches on the ocean side of Cabo San Lucas | Big waves; usually not for swimming | Sunsets, long walks, pool days |
If the airport ride matters to you, note that SJD sits near San José del Cabo, so resorts at the Cabo San Lucas end usually mean a longer drive. The Los Cabos International Airport site, run by airport operator Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico, lists terminals and ground transportation.
Los Cabos has a dry desert climate, so it is warm for most of the year. The real question is what kind of warm you want, and how much you care about crowds and storms.
Pick the season first, then the resort. In Cabo, the calendar changes the trip more than the hotel does.
From this guide
This is the question most first-time visitors miss. Los Cabos faces two bodies of water. On the Pacific side, waves and currents are strong, and many beaches are for looking, not swimming. On the Sea of Cortez side, some bays and coves are much calmer.
The names you will hear most for calmer water are Medano Beach in Cabo San Lucas and the Chileno and Santa María coves in the Corridor, which are popular for snorkeling. Conditions change with the weather, so follow the posted flags and ask the front desk every morning.
If ocean swimming is a must, ask a resort directly: "Can guests swim at your beach most days?" If the answer is no, you are booking a pool trip with an ocean view, which can still be wonderful. You just want to know in advance.
Cabo all inclusive packages bundle the resort with flights and sometimes transfers. That can save time, but it also makes prices hard to compare. Use this checklist before you book any package or deal:
Los Cabos has both. Adults-only resorts tend to promise quieter pools and a slower pace. Family resorts add kids' clubs and shallow pools. Ask about age rules before you book; some resorts set aside adults-only sections inside a family property.
A travel club works differently from a public booking site. You pay membership dues, then book resorts, flights, cars and tours at member rates. World Sky backs its prices with the 200% Promise: the Guaranteed Lowest Price or Double the Difference back in Cash. That gives you a simple test. Price your Cabo trip on a public site, then compare it with the member rate.
Both are big all inclusive destinations, and both have plenty of resorts at every level. The difference is the setting.
Los Cabos is desert meeting sea: rock formations, mountains behind the resorts, whale season in winter, and two very different coastlines. Cancun sits on the Caribbean, with flat white sand, turquoise water and easier swimming along much of the coast, plus Maya ruins within a day trip. For many travelers on the West Coast, Cabo is the shorter flight; from the East Coast, Cancun often is.

Cabo San Lucas is busier, with the marina, nightlife and boat trips to the famous arch. San José del Cabo is quieter, closer to the airport, and known for its historic downtown and art galleries. The Tourist Corridor between them suits travelers who want space and views.
Many travelers pick December through April for dry, mild weather and whale watching. Summer is hotter, and the eastern Pacific hurricane season runs from May 15 to November 30, so check forecasts and cancellation terms if you travel then.
